When it comes to using their own blood, Dark Witches are able to manipulate their blood as an extension of themselves and their magic depending on just how much blood and experience the Dark Witch is yielding. Able to use their blood to fortify a pact with another, create a barrier to protect themselves, or to infiltrate another’s body, blood magic takes years to master.Dark Magic.Dark Witches are powerful Mages – adept in dark magic and masters of blood magic. They worship the Goddess Hekate just like their opposites, but instead of following her light, they choose to follow her in darkness. Those who plunge in too deep to the dark side of Hekate using necromancy start to lose themselves for they are not Gods, they are meant to stay within the realm of mortals, this degrades the mind as they slowly start to dive into madness.Necromancy.The strongest of all Dark Witches are those who have sunk to the depths of necromancy. It grants users powers beyond what they can handle. Mortal bodies were not meant to withhold the crippling power of traveling in and out of the realm of death. Souls are held in the realm of the dead for a short while before they are collected by the Universe to join them as one of the stars. Dark Witches can reach into this realm and pluck a soul back from their recent death to be put in a new body. Dark Witches may also reanimate a dead body for a short amount of time, controlling them with a mix of necromancy and blood magic.
Potions & Curses.For a price, Dark Witches usually offer their services in potions and curses, but it is always wise to be wary when dealing with Dark Witches. They seek more than just wealth and riches from life and are always hunting for useful bodies whether it means they’ll make a good sacrifice, a useful familiar, or a tool to be used at a later time for their debt. Whatever potion you need just remember, no potion lasts forever, it’s in the Dark Witches best interest to keep you coming back. The stronger the potion the less time it remains in effect and the quicker the body builds a resistance to it. Curses on the other hand can be generational if a Dark Witch so decides to use blood magic to empower it, but it often comes at the cost of their own life, even Dark Witches who live to 1,000 need to sacrifice their life to enact such a high level curse. How strong a curse is depends on how old they are, younger Dark Witches often find it harder to make their curses last for long or to curse a specific item.Transmutation.Power is what drives the Dark Witch’s desires when using transmutation to change a human into a Familiar. To be feared and obtain knowledge is most important to Dark Witches, thus they find themselves binding the most useful of souls to one another. Jaguars, apex predators of their habitat. Ravens, the most intelligent and loyal birds. Naguals and Ravens suit the needs of Dark Witches the best, but they are not limited to only making the two subspecies, as long as there is some sort of gain.

THE FAMILY OF THORNHEART
To know Draven, one must get familiar with his family.The Thornhearts are a well known family in the world of mages and magic. Their roots stretch deep, expanding many different cultures from around the world. Draven himself is half Korean and half Chinese.His parents met when his father traveled to China to expand his studies on herbs and potion brewing. His travels had led him to the small remote village that his mother had lived. The two formed a fast relationship and when Seojin left China, he brought Yinfu with him.The two were married a year after they met. They settled in Seojin's hometown of Oxford, England. Three years into their marriage and Draven was brought into the world. Not long after he had turned two, Yinfu threw herself into the practice of necromancy. As her decent became more clear, Seojin chose to divorce her and then send her to exile. It was his way of protecting the family name and Draven himself.

When it came to life, Draven had as much freedom as any other kid. When it came to magic however, his father had a list of rules that Draven was forced to follow.Necromancy was forbidden in the house. Seojin did not even want Draven reading about the very arts that forced him to exile his own wife. Even if the art was part of the magic that made up being a dark witch. Still Draven listened to his father and followed his teachings. No matter how odd they may seem to the man.
However there is only so much a light witch can teach about forces they do not deal with. So when Draven became of schooling age, he was sent to a magic boarding school. There the dark witch really shined, showcasing his natural talent for magic. After all he was the heir to the Thornheart family and magic was in his blood.During his school years, Draven made perfect marks in his classes and in return was rewarded with the title of Head Boy. He would walk the halls during down hours, enforcing discipline where it was needed. Anyone causing troubles or skipping classes were always on the lookout for Draven.Once he had graduated, Draven thought long and hard about what type of job he wanted. He wanted to do something with magic that wouldn't pose a risk to him staying off the darkest trail of magic. Thus, Primrose Magic Shop was born. For years Draven ran the shop in Oxford and it quickly grew in fame to be one of the best magic supply stores. Life seemed to be going well for Draven.

Primrose Magic Shop was a roaring success and it stayed that way even until present time. [ Although Draven now lives in Korea, the shop is being ran by his father. ] It has become the go to place of Oxford for any and all magical supplies and prebrewed potions. Draven enjoyed his success but something inside him was missing.This feeling never went away, no matter how hard Draven tried to ignore it. So after months of talking to his father, he made the decision to move to Seoul, South Korea. It was his way of getting in touch with his father's heritage and hopefully find what was missing inside himself.After making sure his father would be well taken care of and the shop was in Seojin's caring hands, Draven left England for Asia. Although there was a deep fear within Seojin now that his son was moving so close to his mother. But he knew Draven had no interest in seeking her out.
After arriving to Seoul, Draven had gotten to work right away. The first few months in Korea were nothing more than scouting for the perfect location for his second shop. His plan was to open a second Primrose, one that would stand out from its mother store in England. The idea for this would not come until later.But the starting for the shop were just the same as the ones for England. Draven worked to gather the ingredients for every spell worked and every potion brewed himself. The spell work and the potions were also done all by him. And with his hard work, the doors to Primrose were soon opened and he was ready to take over the city.Months after opening, he was visited by a soon to be regular customer. Astraea Lambros came into his life and with her came a love he never expected. She soon started to work for him, giving him an edge with freshly grown herbs for potions. He also reunited with a school friend, Alice Acyn who became a silent partner in developing a café to his shop.
